Harry Fleming, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Fleming has over 25 years of legal and business experience in corporate finance and securities law, focusing much of his career on emerging growth companies, mergers and acquisitions, strategic business planning and turnaround execution. His background includes venture capital representation, business strategy consulting, public company representation, as well as mergers and acquisitions with high tech firms in Houston and Boston. Additionally, he has extensive experience with consolidating companies in the healthcare, energy, and waste management industries. As CEO, President, CFO and General Counsel for several public and private companies, Fleming has a broad base of experience dealing with turnaround and growth strategies.

Fleming has been quoted in numerous publications, including MIT Technology Review, Scientific American, Solar Today, Sustainable Energy, Inter PV, Houston Business Journal, The Houston Chronicle, The San Francisco Business Times, and on “The Business Makers” and “Corporate Strategies” radio shows, among other news outlets. Fleming has also presented at numerous industry conferences and has spoken as a guest lecturer at London Business School on M&A strategies.

Having spent more than 20 years at law firms in Houston and Boston, Fleming maintains the highest rating (AV) of U.S. attorneys by Martindale-Hubbell. Fleming is admitted to practice law in the State of Texas and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court. Fleming received his MBA from Boston College in 1999, JD from the University Houston in 1983, and BA from the University of St. Thomas in 1980.

Kenneth Efird, President

Mr. Efird most recently served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Business Development Officer of the Company. He joined the Company in 2005, and during his tenure oversaw clinical operations, revenue cycle management, sales, business development and the rollout of a new marketing strategy, which includes the integration of Athas technologies and the expansion of Nobilis' portfolio of brands. He has been instrumental in the improvement of operational execution across all Nobilis facilities. Mr. Efird has also played a significant role in the integration of acquisitions and will continue to do so as President. Prior to joining Nobilis, Mr. Efird served as Chief Executive Officer and founder of Diagnostic and Interventional Spine Centers of Texas, a multidisciplinary practice that created a network of allopathic spine teams.

Young

Officer

Prior to joining Nobilis Health in January of 2017, Mr. Young served as Senior Vice President of Finance/ Divisional CFO for St. Jude Medical Inc.’s Americas Division, where he oversaw extensive expense reduction programs while simultaneously expanding the division’s product offerings. Mr. Young’s cost reduction programs generated substantial cost savings and improved profitability during his tenure.

Prior to his tenure at St. Jude Medical, Mr. Young served as the Division VP of Finance at Thermo Fisher, where he partnered with corporate and division leaders to coordinate company-wide restructuring activities as well as to renegotiate major supplier contracts.

Mr. Young is a licensed CPA and holds an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.

Adam Arnette, Chief Marketing Officer

Mr. Arnette began his sales and marketing career with The Principal Financial Group, a national investment management company, and 401k provider. He then joined Merritt, Hawkins & Associates, the nation’s largest physician search and consulting firm, where he served as the Southwest Director of Recruiting, working with physicians and hospitals across the country. Mr. Arnette’s resume also includes ownership and management of two real estate investment and finance companies.

As Chief Marketing Officer, Adam is responsible for the overall vision and marketing strategy for all Athas companies. Adam directs all strategic initiatives for marketing, and is responsible for direct lead generation using various channels, as well as management of key metrics, and team oversight.

Yoder

Patrick joined Nobilis Health in April 2014 to lead the Sales and Business Development Teams. He has 15 years of healthcare sales and business development experience. Prior to joining Nobilis Health, he held successful sales leadership positions with major healthcare companies, such as Intuitive Surgical, Medtronic, and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. Throughout his career, Patrick has excelled at selling disruptive healthcare concepts to physicians and healthcare facilities. As Executive Vice President of Sales, Mr. Yoder leads all Nobilis Health’s physician recruitment and retention strategies.

Patrick earned his B.A. from Rhodes College, where he was a four year starter and captain of the Rhodes basketball team.

Marcos Rodriguez, Chief Accounting Officer

Prior to joining Nobilis, Mr. Rodriguez served for five years as Director in Opportune LLP’s Complex Financial Reporting practice and Enterprise Risk practice leader where he held various client leadership positions including Controller, Chief Accounting Officer and Director of Internal Audit. Mr. Rodriguez has over 18 years of diversified accounting experience including financial accounting and reporting, technical accounting research, external and internal audits, initial public offering readiness, Sarbanes-Oxley implementations, mergers and acquisitions, Securities and Exchange Commission regulations, and both U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Financial Reporting Standards. Mr. Rodriguez began his career in 1998 with Deloitte & Touche LLP in the audit and enterprise risk practice. Mr. Rodriguez graduated with a B.S. in accounting from Louisiana State University and a licensed CPA.

Badlani, MD

Officer

Neil Badlani, M.D., M.B.A. is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon Specializing in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery. Based in Houston, he practices cutting-edge techniques in treating spine, back and neck pain, as well as complicated spinal disorders in patients of all ages. His surgical emphasis is on minimally invasive techniques including laser and robotic surgery. He has been featured on Fox 26, KPRC Local 2 and in the Houston Chronicle.

Dr. Badlani is also an award winning researcher having been recognized nationally by the American Academy of Sports Medicine and Western Orthopaedic Association and internationally by the Combined Orthopaedic Research Societies of the USA, Canada, Japan and Europe for his work. He has presented his research both on orthopaedic surgery and economic aspects of medicine at national meetings including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society. He has written several papers and given presentations about orthopaedic hospitals, surgery centers and medical reimbursement issues. He has written numerous book chapters about minimally invasive spine surgery. He is a reviewer for “The Spine Journal.”

Dr. Badlani earned a B.A. in economics from the George Washington University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in only 3 years. He completed a dual MD/MBA program in just 5 years at the University of Pittsburgh. His orthopaedic surgery training was done at the University of California, San Diego, followed by fellowships in both adult and pediatric spine surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL.

Marissa Arreola, President,
Concertis

Ms. Arreola joined Nobilis and Concertis in 2016 to develop and direct the company’s strategic plan of being a leader in bundled payment, population health management, and care coordination.

Ms. Arreola has over 18 years’ experience in healthcare operations and health law regulatory and transactional work. Prior to joining Concertis, she was a Partner at Baker Donelson, in the firm’s health law section. She also served as Director of Legal Services at Houston Methodist Hospital System, an academic medical center headquartered in Houston’s Texas Medical Center. Ms. Arreola has represented hospitals and physicians in a wide variety of transactions and regulatory matters. She also has extensive experience with hospital governance, managed care contracting, and development and administration of hospital service lines. She holds a national leadership position with the American Health Lawyers’ Association and is a frequent speaker at regional and national health care conferences.

Ms. Arreola earned her B.A., cum laude, from Rice University and her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center. She is currently listed in Best Lawyers in America in Health Care Law.

Matthew Maruca, General Counsel

Mr. Maruca has served as our General Counsel since February 2015. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Maruca was an attorney at the law firm Baker Donelson focusing on general corporate and healthcare law matters from October 2014 to February 2015, during which time he also acted as outside General Counsel. Mr. Maruca joined Baker Donelson in October 2014 with other members of the healthcare group at the law firm Strasburger & Price LLC, where he had worked since January 2014. Mr. Maruca also served as Corporate Counsel of the Company from April 2011 to January 2014, and started his career as an in house attorney at Keystone Dental, a Boston-based manufacturer and supplier of dental implants and biomaterials. Mr. Maruca holds a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Tulane Law School, where he graduated cum laude, and a B.A. from Boston College, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and graduated summa cum laude.
